Mission Keynote Address
Rev. Dr. Robert Scudieri, Associate Executive Director LCMS World Missions, gave the keynote address. In three sessions, he spoke about three challenges facing the church.
The first challenge is “Turning the church inside out.” Paradigm shifts are needed in the US church. The percentage of Protestant Christians has fallen over the past years. Dr. Scudieri challenged the delegates to a renewed focus on evangelism, based on Jesus’ parable of the servants and the talents.
Blue Ribbon Task Force on Synod Structure & Governance
Rev. Larry Stoterau, President Pacific Southwest District, Vice Chairman of the Blue Ribbon Task Force presented the report, giving history of the BRTFSSG, as well as a video from President Kieschnick.
