The Congregation Services Council is seeking nominations to fill positions on the New Jersey District Youth Ministry Team. The Youth Ministry Team will act to coordinate and resource youth ministry activities with the District. Eight (8) youth and three (3) adults will be chosen to serve on the Youth Ministry Team.
Nominations will close on July 1, 2012.
Here are some things to know about nominating a teen to serve. . .
+ The youth may be nominated by anyone—even themselves. If a youth is nominated by self or another youth, this must be accompanied by a letter of affirmation from an adult.
+ The youth must be entering their junior or senior year of high school in the Fall of 2012.
+ The nominee should be active in their church worship experiences and activities. They should show leadership skills and be dedicated to serving God and His people especially their youth peers.
+ Nominations are taken seriously. The nomination process will close on July 1, 2012 and the selection process then begins.
+ The selection process requires the youth/adult nominee to respond (either in written or taped form) to 5 short questions. They must also ask their pastor for a written letter of recommendation. These must be submitted by the deadline of July 20, 2012.
A decision regarding YMT members will be made by mid-August. Appointments will be made by the District President. Please pray that the Lord guide the selection of folks with a heart for Jesus, His ministry and a love for Youth.

The Youth Ministry Team will meet 5—6 times a year beside the New Jersey District Youth events. A YMT member is asked to be present at all of these. (It is also understood that we are all involved in school activities, work and family events. Therefore, as long as there is solid communication, allowances are made for required absences.)
